For kids who want to build a character

Twin Falls Public Library hosts a Dungeons & Dragons character-creation workshop Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is listed for children in grades 3–6 and focuses on the character-building side of the game.

The calendar does not state a fee or registration rule. Because the workshop spans three hours and has a defined grade range, confirm participation details with the library before drop-off.

For a final-weekend theater trip

Peter Pan: A New Adaptation finishes at Howells Opera House in Oakley with 7 p.m. performances Friday and Saturday. The Oakley Valley Arts Council lists tickets at $15. Its current schedule says matinees were limited to July 18 and 25, so there is no final-weekend afternoon show.

Include travel time for either evening and use the production page—not an old calendar listing—for final availability. Anyone planning around an afternoon curtain will need a different event.

For an adults-only Saturday

Magic Valley Beer Festival runs Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Twin Falls City Park. The organizer is explicit: the event is 21-plus and children are not admitted. Designated-driver tickets are listed at $20; food is sold separately.

The designated-driver ticket is not free admission. The event page says proceeds support Search and Rescue and Rotary projects. Check ticket availability and entry rules before heading downtown.
