Operator and agreement

Local Roundup is an independently operated publication. For privacy, legal, copyright, or accessibility inquiries, contact legal@localroundup.net or write to Local Roundup, PO Box 85, Shoshone, ID 83352.

By accessing or using localroundup.net, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms apply to visitors and to anyone who provides a correction, event listing, image, message, or other content to Local Roundup.

General-audience service and submission eligibility

Local Roundup is a general-audience publication. You may browse public pages regardless of age, subject to applicable law and appropriate supervision. To submit content or personal information through a Local Roundup submission feature, you must be at least 18 years old and must confirm that requirement before the submission can be sent.

Do not submit personal information on behalf of a child or allow a child to use your information to bypass this requirement.

Event information is a starting point

Local Roundup gathers event information from organizers, venues, public sources, and other attributable sources. Listings may contain errors or become outdated, and an event may be changed, canceled, moved, sold out, or affected by weather after publication.

Confirm important details directly with the organizer or official source before traveling, purchasing tickets, arranging child care, or relying on accessibility, health, safety, transportation, or refund information. A listing is not an endorsement, guarantee, professional recommendation, or claim that Local Roundup attended the event.

Submission standards

Submitting content does not guarantee publication, placement, continued availability, or a response. Local Roundup may verify, edit for clarity or formatting, decline, archive, or remove a submission at any time.

• Provide accurate, current information and a public source that supports material event facts when one is available.
• Submit only content that you created or have permission to provide and authorize for the uses described below.
• Do not impersonate another person or organization or misrepresent your authority, affiliation, sponsorship, or relationship to an event.
• Do not include private contact details, sensitive personal information, confidential information, malware, deceptive links, or unlawful, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, or exploitative material.
• Do not submit content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights.

License for submitted content

You keep any ownership rights you have in content you submit. By providing content to Local Roundup, you grant Local Roundup a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, crop, format, edit for clarity without materially changing the meaning, display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with Local Roundup and its listings, guides, search results, email, and social or promotional channels.

This license includes the right to create accessible or technically necessary versions and to identify the event, organizer, venue, or credited creator connected with the submission. It also allows service providers working for Local Roundup to process the content for those purposes. The license ends when the content is deleted from active publication, except for reasonable archival, backup, legal, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping copies and for uses already distributed with your authorization.

Images, video, audio, and likenesses

For every image, video, audio recording, logo, poster, or other media file you provide, you represent that you own it or have permission from the rights holder to let Local Roundup use it under these terms. You are responsible for obtaining any permission reasonably required from photographers, performers, recognizable people, property owners, or other rights holders.

Do not provide media containing a child's image, voice, name, or identifying information unless you are authorized to do so and its publication is appropriate. Local Roundup may crop, resize, compress, add alternative text or captions, or decline media that is unclear, misleading, unsafe, irrelevant, or of uncertain origin. Credit information should be supplied with the media when required.

Corrections, copyright concerns, and removal requests

Send the page URL, a clear description of the issue, and supporting information to legal@localroundup.net. For a copyright concern, identify the protected work, the Local Roundup material at issue, your relationship to the rights holder, and a reliable way to contact you.

Local Roundup may request additional information before acting and may preserve records reasonably needed to document a correction, dispute, moderation decision, or legal request. Knowingly submitting a false or misleading claim may have legal consequences.

Acceptable use

• Do not interfere with the site, probe or bypass security, introduce malicious code, overload infrastructure, or use automated access in a way that disrupts service.
• Do not scrape, reproduce, republish, or commercially exploit substantial portions of Local Roundup content or databases without permission, except as allowed by law.
• Do not use Local Roundup to spam, deceive, stalk, harass, violate another person's privacy, or promote unlawful activity.
• Do not use site content or branding in a way that falsely implies Local Roundup sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or official status.

Third-party services and commercial links

Local Roundup links to organizer, venue, ticketing, registration, map, advertiser, sponsor, affiliate, referral, and other third-party services. Those services control their own content, availability, pricing, privacy practices, purchases, refunds, safety, and terms. Local Roundup is not responsible for a third party's actions or for a transaction between you and a third party.

Advertisements are labeled, and sponsored, affiliate, or referral links receive a nearby disclosure when Local Roundup may receive payment or another benefit. A commercial relationship does not replace the source used to support event facts.

Local Roundup content and marks

The Local Roundup name, site design, original guides, editorial text, software, graphics, and other publisher-created material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms permit personal, noncommercial use of the site. They do not transfer ownership or grant permission to use Local Roundup branding, remove attribution, or republish protected material beyond what applicable law allows.

Availability and disclaimers

Local Roundup is provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Local Roundup disclaims implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Local Roundup is not an emergency, medical, legal, financial, transportation, child-care, accessibility-certification, or safety service. Use your own judgment and contact the appropriate organizer, provider, authority, or professional when those matters are important.

Limitation of responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Local Roundup and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, or goodwill arising from use of the site, an event, a third-party service, or submitted content. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

You are responsible for claims, losses, or expenses caused by content you submit, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person's rights, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes, suspension, and governing law

Local Roundup may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site and may update these terms. The effective and last-updated date identifies the current version. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact legal@localroundup.net and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.
